Edmund V. Ludwig (born 1928) is a United States federal judge.
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Ludwig received an A.B. from Harvard University in 1949 and an LL.B. from Harvard Law School in 1952. He was in the United States Army Reserve Captain, JAG Corps from 1953 to 1956. He was in private practice in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from 1956 to 1960. He was in private practice in Doylestown, Pennsylvania from 1960 to 1968. He was a judge on the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas, Pennsylvania from 1968 to 1985. He was a Clinical associate professor, Hahnemann University from 1977 to 1985. He was a Visiting lecturer, Temple University, Beasely School of Law from 1977 to 1982. He was a Presenter, Villanova Law School, Institute for Correctional Law from 1975 to 1977. He was a member of the faculty of University of Pennsylvania from 1981 to 1982. Lecturer in law, Villanova Law School, 1984–present.
Ludwig was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Ludwig was nominated by President Ronald Reagan on June 21, 1985, to a seat vacated by Raymond Broderick. He was confirmed by the United States Senate on October 16, 1985, and received his commission on October 17, 1985. He assumed senior status on May 20, 1997.
